Part 1 of this two-part course focuses on design, draping, pattern-drafting and detailed toile (muslin) development.

• Designing & draping on the form
• Transferring the draped design to flat pattern
• Draping and drafting the boned bodice
• Detailed toile (muslin) development - Of boned bodice and drape/twist outer layer
• Couture techniques - Sew samples of couture design details and finishing techniques that will be used on the final garment in Part 2

In Part 2 we will make a complete finished garment based on the design developed in Part 1.

• GARMENT CONSTRUCTION - Complete and detailed haute couture garment construction including the boned bodice and draped outer layer.
